Railway transportation of radioactive chemicals

Precautions for railway transportation containing radiation:

1. The shipper is required to provide CNAS (Railway Safety Transportation Appraisal Report);

2. Products containing radiation such as potassium sorbate cannot pass through Kazakhstan and can only transit through the Manzhouli Port;

3. There is a risk that products containing radiation will be inspected again when they arrive in Zabaikalsk. If they are inspected, and if the product’s radiation does not exceed the standard, it will be released after about a week; inspection fees and container detention fees will be incurred at that time;
