Nov 20, 2023
On November 16th, in the production workshop of Inner Mongolia Jiaze Wood Industry Park in Chayouqian Banner, Jining Customs staff were on-site inspecting a batch of finished furniture worth 40000 yuan and 5.98 tons. After passing the quarantine, these goods will be shipped to Russia. This is the first time that finished furniture produced in our city has been exported to Russia on the China Europe train.
The destination for this trip is Yekaterinburg, Russia, with approximately 200 pieces of furniture in 24 categories including sofas, beds, dining tables and chairs, all customized according to the needs of Russian customers. "Zhao Zhihui, Manager of the Foreign Trade Department of Inner Mongolia Jiaze Wood Industry Co., Ltd., introduced that Jiaze Wood Industry imported Russian wood into our city through the China Europe Railway, processed it into furniture products, and then exported it to other countries such as Russia.
The person in charge of the factory said, "We have a large number of customer resources and markets in Russia. In the future, we will rely on the geographical and resource advantages of the China Europe Railway and Ulanqab, strengthen our own industrial advantages, extend the industrial chain, and strive to provide assistance for cross-border, cross regional, and cross field industrial cooperation. Together with our wood industry colleagues, we will export more local products from Ulanqab to overseas, and strive to create a new business model for Ulanqab's foreign trade
It is understood that since the first China Europe train was launched in 2016, the development speed and quality of the train have been continuously improving in our city. Since the beginning of this year, there have been a total of 114 4690 trains operating in Ulanqab, an increase of 189% year-on-year. The total cargo value is 203 million US dollars, with a total cargo weight of 63200 tons, of which Inner Mongolia's source of goods (including Ulanqab) accounts for 35%. This has laid a solid foundation for our city to actively participate in the construction of the China Mongolia Russia Economic Corridor and deepen the high-quality development of foreign trade.
